It is especially famous for its seemingly endless vermilion torii (1,000 shrine gates.) Fushimi Inari was dedicated to the gods of agriculture, the deities were enrolled to ensure prosperity in business, a bountiful harvest and traffic safety. The Fox is traditionally seen as sacred and is considered the messenger of Inari. According to Folklore, it has been said that in the olden days the Fox ate the insects that would harm the crops, which then led to a bountiful harvest. ※Admission: Free 【Kiyomizu-dera】UNESCO World Cultural Heritage 11:50~13:30 The proverb "to jump off the stage at Kiyomizu" that is the Japanese equivalent of the English expression "to take the plunge", is derived from Kiyomizu-dera. The Main Hall has a large wooden stage that juts out over the hillside, it was built without using a single nail and is supported by 139 pillars. The view of the city of Kyoto from this Kiyomizu Stage is magnificent. Kiyomizu-dera (the temple of clear water) was named after Otowa Waterfall which is said to be good for your longevity, health, and study if you drink. This temple is famous for the cherry blossoms in spring and fall foliage in autumn. ※Admission fee to temples not included. ※Please have lunch on your own around this tourist spot. 【Kinkaku-ji】UNESCO World Cultural Heritage 14:10~14:55 Kinkaku, a pagoda made to house the sacred relics of the Buddha, has given this temple the popular name of Kinkaku-ji (Temple of the Golden Pavilion). But the official name of this branch temple of the Rinzai sect Zen temple of Shôkoku-ji is Rokuon-ji. This complex, whose gardens and architecture focused around a central Golden Pavilion, was said to evoke paradise on earth. And the view of Kinkaku which is reflected in the Kyôko-chi (Mirror Pond) is very beautiful. This was built by the third Ashikaga Shôgun Yoshimitsu for his own villa but turned into a temple after his death. This temple was rebuilt in 1955. ※Admission fee to temples not included. 【Arashiyama】15:30~16:50 Arashiyama is notable for its view of cherry blossoms and the color of Autumn leaves, the bridge "Togetsukyo" which spans across the Katsura river is a central landmark of Arashiyama. The most highly recommended spot is the Sagano Bamboo Forest! It is a pleasantly cool 100m long walkway that begins from the side of the world heritage Tenryuji Temple. The Nonomiya Shrine is also well known for its oldest Kuroki Torii (Made of unbarked tree) spotted in the bamboo forest. The large "Okame-Ishi" rock is a famous power spot and is said your wish will come true within a year if you rub the rock. ※Admission: Free 18:30 Arrive around Osaka Metro Namba station. 18:45 Arrive at Nipponbashi Tsurutontan soemoncho. 19:15 Arrive at Umeda Hearton Hotel Nishiumeda. ※Arriving time may change depending on traffic and tour schedule. ※ The landing place is the same as the departure place.
